My mom always tells me I’m beautiful. She doesn’t say it to comfort me or to pretend she doesn’t see my differences. She says it looking straight into my blue eyes, as if she sees a whole universe within them. When I was born, many people were afraid of my limitations.

My mom was afraid too, but she chose to love me first, learn later, and never reduce me to a diagnosis. Today, every laugh of mine is an answer for those who once doubted me. Maybe it takes me longer to learn some things, but I know how to love in a way that transforms any atmosphere. My hug brings calm, my smile brightens even the most weary days. And in the end, that’s what truly matters: I wasn’t born to fit standards, I was born to remind the world that true beauty lives within.
