Iowa Party Bites

1. Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil (for easy cleanup).

2. Make the Glaze

  • In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, maple syrup, and mustard.
  • Heat over medium, stirring until sugar dissolves (2–3 minutes).
  • Remove from heat. Let cool slightly.

3. Wrap the Sausages

  • Separate crescent dough into 16 triangles (per tube).
  • Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to make 32 thin strips.
  • Wrap each Lil’ Smokie snugly with a strip of dough, sealing the seam underneath.

4. Bake & Glaze

  • Arrange wrapped sausages on the baking sheet.
  • Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Brush generously with warm glaze while hot.
  • Return to oven for 2–3 more minutes to set the glaze.

5. Serve Warm

  • Transfer to a serving platter.
  • Optional: Drizzle with extra glaze or sprinkle with sesame seeds.
